Rafting the Grande Ronde in June 2013
Two rafts and two people on a 4 day run to row from Minam to Boggans Oasis.
Jonathan Walpole and I put on in the afternoon. We debated about what to wear. The sun was shining and we were quite warm from all of our rigging and loading. We went with shorts and t-shirts while keeping our cold wet weather gear handy. Rain was in the forecast for later.
The rain came and it showed us no mercy. We put on our bibs and short sleeve paddle jackets. When temperatures dropped we put on our long sleeve paddle jackets. Being wet on the river isn't too bad if you are dressed for it. The rain didn't stop when we pulled into camp but we rigged a tarp system and were able to manage the wet weather in camp as well.
