Selway River Trip Idaho June 2013

Jon and I had one day in between the take out of the Grande Ronde and the Launch on the Selway.  We met up with 11 other people in McCall Idaho to coordinate food, gear and carpooling.  We then spent an entire day driving to the put in and rigging rafts at the launch site.  This was a low water trip with the gauge reading 1.9 ft at the launch (Paradise) dropping to 1.6 ft by the time we got to the take out (Meadow Creek) on the 5th day.  This is a 47 mile river trip of premier whitewater through a beautiful forest.  Weather was sunny and hot, a nice change from the previous week on the Grande Ronde.  Our group of 13 traveled the river in 3 kayaks, 1 paddle raft and 6 rafts hauling gear.  Jon rowed his 13 ft Super Puma.  My dad rowed a 16 ft Nez Pierce Riken and I rowed my 14 ft Pioneer Riken.
